8.21 - And be not like those who have said: We have heard while they do not hear. 8.22 - Indeed, the worst of the creatures in the sight of Allah are the deaf and mute who do not understand. 8.23 - And if Allah had known any good in them, He would have made them hear. And if He had made them hear, they would turn away while they are averse. 8.24 - O you who have believed! Respond to Allah and His messenger when he calls you to that which gives you life. And know that Allah intervenes between a person and his heart and that to Him you will be gathered. 8.25 - And fear a trial which will not strike those of you who are unjust exclusively; and know that Allah is severe in punishment. 8.26 - And remember when you were few oppressed in the land, fearing that the people may abduct you, but He sheltered you and supported you with His victory, and provided you with good things that you may give thanks. 8.27 - O you who have believed! Do not betray Allah and the messenger, or betray your trusts while you know. 8.28 - And know that your wealth and your children are only trial and that Allah has with Him a great reward. 8.29 - O you who have believed! If you fear Allah, He will make for you a criterion and rid you of your evil deeds and forgive you. And Allah is the Possessor of mighty grace. 8.30 - And when those who have disbelieved planned against you to restrain you or kill you or expel you; and they plan and Allah plans, and Allah is the best of planners.
